Handling your work with care

I am an editor and proofreader of books for children and teach children’s authors how to get their books into UK schools. I specialise in picture books and middle grade titles, looking for ways to make them increasingly inclusive. As a former school librarian and governors’ clerk, I know what teachers want and need in the classroom, where they look and how to unlock the budget for books and school visits.

I understand the process of getting a book published and draw on my editorial experience to help children’s authors to produce high-quality copy and marketing material for school visits, resources and evergreen content, ensuring that it is inclusive and accessible.

The rest of the time, I read!
